The Toot's New Wheels

We got it today. It's a 2007 Honda CRV and we love it! We are all exhausted from the ordeal. The car dealer tried to get us to pay three thousand dollars more than we were going to give them. I stuck to my limit and I got it!
Tomorrow we go for a drive in our new Toot Mobile. It's late and I'm going to bed so we can start early.
By the way this is an image from Google and that's me and the toot waving hello. Dada's inside our Google home watching golf.

Time to get out of the shade

It's a lot cooler this morning and I can finally think clearer. Everything about me is not doing well in this hot weather. I'm up early and I'm hoping to get an early start at shopping for essential supplies to keep me going on the projects I've started.

Thanks to my sister for loaning us her car while she is out of town for a week. We will be looking for our family car now that we've got the settlement from the insurance. Looking at cars is one of my least favorite things to do. I don't know the names of cars, styles and sometimes even the colors (ex. Purple is Plum or Gray is Silver). They all pretty much look the same to me. I don't shop unless I need to replace something. Yeah, I like to keep it pretty simple and I'd like to get the car replaced as soon as possible so I can concentrate on what I need to do and enjoy.

The Vault - 1990 Series

I painted these in 1990....four years before I got sober. I'm finally letting them go. That's if they sell. If they don't, I will be putting them back in the vault.
This piece is part of a diptych. If you would like to see the matching piece that goes with it you will have to click here. The title of the set is called, "Green Torso and Green Ass /Diptych-Set 1".
This one is called, "Red Nena No 1" and it is also up on Etsy for sale. These are originals.
Click here to see it in my store with description and price.

Sculpy Piece #2

Finished. Now, I need to find a clear glaze to seal the work. I will be taking a trip to Blick's for this.

The Urge to Create

I stayed up late last night so I could finish this drawing. I started it earlier this week and yesterday I was determined to get it finished. It reminds me of an etching. Lately, my time has been soaked up with a little bit of homemaking, organizing, and of coarse my little monkey. I was obsessed with this piece because I haven't had any time for drawing in a while. The creativity juices were sweet and I am very pleased with what came out.

I've got the second sculpy piece halfway painted and it's waiting to be completed. When I work with acrylic paints I've realized that I need more time to get set up and mix my paints. So, my twenty minutes here and there won't work with acrylics. It's a completely different set-up compared to watercolors. It'll get done. This is why I had to do the drawing above. I needed to release the urge to create.

I will be putting it up for sale on Etsy.

Still Working

This is stage one for her. I have more plans in store before I can put this up for sale. Posting a photo is a step forward and it also keeps me motivated while we're going through this unexpected turn of events with the transportation situation. I've got two more to go.
