InkTober Challenge: Scan 2

It's progressing. Feeling really good about this. I started the sketch in my my child development class a couple of days ago. Yesterday, after finishing some classwork, the last half hour, I continued with the inking. Head phones on and listening to KUSC to drown out the conversation going on behind me. The 9th chapter had The Theory of Multiple Intelligences by Howard Gardner. I took the test and I scored high on Intrapersonal Learner.
I'm good with this too.

I am participating the the inktober challenge. See here: InkTober

InkTober challenge

Day 1 and 2
Started the pencil drawing yesterday.

I have decided to try InkTober drawing activity. Since I've been taking classes I have not had time to finish a painting. So I am going back to my sketchbook to draw again. It's a way to get back into my space of self. I will be adding to my drawing each day and posting everyday or every other day. This feels good to me and that's my aim.

From my new sketchbook (a gift from my girl). I have caught a cold, but I wanted to post this latest drawing while I have the time and energy.

I will also say that I have started a Child Development class and I am happy!
As for the drawing above..Can you figure out the story without any words?

30 Minute Walk "Pick-Up"

Since I've started walking for exercise and I find it difficult to get motivated, I've come up with my treat for getting it done.

Working on Something New ! Happy Mother's Day to Me.

Final drawing for my next painting.

Made a collage to choose colors for painting.
Using old calendar and magazine to cut out patterns and colors I'd like to incorporate in my next painting.

Made photocopies of final drawing and made some color choices for painting.

This is a rough draft of my color choices for the final painting.

Having fun with some new work.
I've been working on this new piece a little at a time. All this accomplished in the past week. A little one day and a little more another day. Today I finished up my color choices and put up photos.
Joy!!!

Oh, the thoughts I let myself drift into have kept me calm.
It is easier to be aware of the thoughts that automatically come.
Easy to change to Now.

I am working on several ideas right now and keeping the artwork coming. Many changes and I am grateful to be well in spirit to experience them.

Between school, Girl Scouts, fun classes, and keeping the home peaceful, I manage to get my drawings coming along. I also have a painting that is almost finished. I'm also getting some walking done on a regular basis. Feeling well all around.

A Marker Sketch

"Morning Light"

A sketch done with markers early this morning.
These days have been filled with me getting to know my new tools: a new software Photoshop Elements and a new scanner. So much to relearn. Although the new scanner is a lot easier to use than my old one I still need to figure out how to stitch together scanned images of my larger paintings. This marker sketch is small so it fits the scanning area easily. It's the larger pieces that are requiring my researching and relearning how to put the images together.
It's a slow process!

Bare Heel

"Her Shoe" (detail)

"Her Bare Foot" (detail)

From the sketch book. Completed within two days.
Went to a mexican birthday party and I got in the mood to sketch out what I imagined her feet looked like after dancing. It was late and an outdoor party. So many were freezing. I'd catch a few looks to see the young women dancing and taking shots of some alcohol. Didn't care to find out what it was they drank. Their display of dancing and shouting caught my attention for a few seconds and this is how I finished the sketch.

"Her Shoe" was completed before we went to the party.

"Her Bare Foot" was completed the next morning.

Ah! I feel great!! I don't miss the hangovers. I don't miss the drinking.
I am grateful.
